4. How long will it take for the average candidate to complete this module?
The level 5 online knowledge base is designed to cover the entire theory modules. We have found that candidates need to plan for 30 - 40 hours study and this will be discussed at induction and monitored by the course tutor who is managing the programme.
5. How does the online programme work in conjunction with the face to face training?
For each person/group we agree how the programme will be delivered in line with ILM requirements. We can integrate the online module in a number of ways;
We have found that one of the best approaches is to deliver initial training face-to-face which includes induction and then allow an agreed time period for the candidate to complete the online module (usually 8-12 weeks depending on workload etc). We will agree some targets and provide tutorial support by phone and email to help candidates get the most out of the programme.
6. What qualifications/entry requirements do I need?
There are no formal entry requirements however candidates will normally be practicing managers. Learners who have no formal qualifications in management but have several years experience and have completed some formal training in the role may also participate.
6. Can individuals attain this qualification?
Yes, until recently the qualification was generally offered to groups of candidates however we can now offer the qualification to individuals that have previous coaching experience or are able to implement coaching within their workplace.
Achievements of prior learning can sometimes be mapped across specific units reducing face to face training timescales further.
7. How will a candidate know how much time they need to allocate and what they should do?
This is made clear at the outset of the programme and tutors keep in touch with candidates. Any work deadlines will be agreed between the tutor and the candidate and recorded in writing for reference.
